Vessels have just announced to festival appearances this summer. The first is their debut at Glastonbury, headlining the BBC Introducing stage on Sunday 26 June (7.30pm).

The band’s second appearance in a British field is a return to Gloucestershire’s 2000Trees on Friday 15 Junly (2.30pm) along with Zun Zun Egui, Three Trapped Tigers, And So I Watch You From Afar and Twilight Sad, amongst others.

Meanwhile Lee J. Malcolm from Vessels releases his debut techno album, Folded Spaces on EPM next week. It will be available digitally from all the usual places.

Vessels have just begun their UK/Ireland tour ahead of the release of second album Helioscope and here’s a brand new video for the track ‘Heal.’ Directed by the very talented Australian Steven McInerney, the colourful video is pretty damn psychedelic! Drowned in Sound premiered the video yesterday, see the post here or watch it below.

Vessels have announced a tour to promote their second album Helioscope, which comes out in March 2011. The tour takes them to Ireland for the first time and culminates at the British Wildlife Festival in Leeds.

Stuart Warwick, whose vocals appear on ‘Meatman, Piano Tuner, Prostitute‘, will be joining Vessels for the tour (except Dundee).

Vessels begun their European tour with Oceansize yesterday and announced a free download via their mailing list. The track is live favourite, ‘Ornafives‘, which the band have been playing on their travels the last year or so. All you need to do is subscribe on their website and hey presto, your download will appear, existing subscribers should have received an email with details how to download. Full details here:

‘Meatman, Piano Tuner, Prostitute’ is the first single to be taken from the Vessels‘ second album Helioscope (due out Feb 2011) and is released 8th November. The band features the guest vocals of Stuart Warwick (formerly Jacob’s Stories) who will accompany the band on their headline set of dates in November (please note new London venue). Before then, Vessels embark on a tour of Europe with Oceansize. All dates can be seen on the live tab. Vessels have announced a European tour with Oceansize this autumn. The Leeds-based band will join Oceansize for 24 shows throughout mainland Europe and then will return to the UK for a set of headline shows where they will be be previewing music from their second album, due for release in early 2011. More information on this soon!

The UK shows will see Brighton’s Stuart Warwick (Jacob’s Stories) as support, with Humanfly also joining the bill for the London show at The Black Heart on Thursday 17 November. The hometown show takes place at the Brudenell Social Club, a fringe event of the Constellations festival (Broken Social Scene, Four Tet).
