Vessels play the Belgrave Music Hall on Thursday

Belgrave flyer

Vessels have finished the recording of their third album, their first since undergoing their musical transformation. The album was recorded by fellow Leeds-based producer Richard Formby (Ghostpoet, Darkstar, Wild Beasts), who also worked on last year’s Elliptic EP.

The band will be previewing songs from the album this Thursday at Leeds’ Belgrave Music Hall. Kit Grill will be Djing at the party.

To celebrate this hometown gig, Martin Teff has crafted a ‘cracking’ (Clash premiere) mixtape of the music that is currently inspiring the band. The playlist ends with the minimal bliss of the Barker & Baumecker remix of ‘Elliptic’.

The band will also grace stages at festivals this summer, with all the announcements, including Beat Herder and a return to Fell Foot Sound, on our live page.

The band have also been busy on remix duty, with the band reworking Nils Frahm’s incredible ‘Says‘ and Caribou offshoot Pick A Piper’s single ‘All Her Colours‘.

Introducing Satelliti

Satelliti-by-Ornela-Cekrezi-4

Italian duo Satelliti are the latest signings to Cuckundoo. Hailing from Bolzano, Italy, Andrea Dalle Luche (keys) and Andrea Polato (drums), the duo release their second album, Transister, on 28th October.

Morgan Beringer, who made the fantastic video for Vessels’The Sky Was Pink‘,
has produced a suitably mindbending clip for the pulsating and visceral single ‘Young Wolf‘ on YouTube or Vimeo. ‘Young Wolf’ can also be downloaded for free from Satelliti’s Bandcamp.
